About Course
If your joints ache or feel stiff — or you’re learning for someone you love — this course is a calm, practical place to start. I’m Joseph, a physician assistant who works in a rural community setting, and I built it around the questions I hear most.
Across seven lessons, you’ll learn how joints work and what osteoarthritis is (and isn’t), which patterns point to something different that deserves a closer look, and how to describe your symptoms clearly. You’ll see why major guidelines strongly recommend exercise for osteoarthritis, and how to start safely with a simple two-hour check. We’ll also cover heat and cold, sleep, weight (with zero shame), and community programs like Walk With Ease that you may be able to join from home.
What’s inside: two plain-language readings, a step-by-step guide, myths vs. facts, a fictional story that pulls it all together, and a guided reflection. Three printable worksheets — a symptom tracker, a two-week movement log, and your personal moving-well plan — are included.
Everything is sourced from current guidelines and public health agencies. This is education to bring to your own clinician, not a substitute for care.
